At ISH, we believe that we are only as strong as the community we are in. Hence, we strongly advocate a spirit of giving, especially to those in need.
Operation De-COVID19
COVID-19 no doubt provided difficulties for companies worldwide, but this pandemic was one that hit close to home. As in industry heavily reliant on migrant workers building works, it pained us to witness the virus spreading rampantly in the dormitories, affecting their way of lives.
Hence, we rallied together with the Society of Interior Designers Singapore (SIDS) on a community project in conjunction with the Ministry of Manpower (MOM). Named Operation De-COVID 19, the initiative aimed to raise funds for migrant workers via the sale of 10 T-shirt designs created by local designers. All in all, 100 pieces of each design were sold on SIDS website, priced at $38 per piece. The proceeds from the campaign went to the Migrant Workers’ Assistance Fund, the humanitarian charity of the Migrant Workers’ Centre.
ISH worked together with Chef Janice Wong to sponsor the design of the T-Shirts with the icon of Mr. Chocolate Egg. The artwork is based on a series of cartoon characters, with the hero portrayed as a fearless chocolate egg. Overall, the artwork hopes to inspire courage, using art and imagination to conquer difficult times in the face of adversity.
